Paolo
Marco

Please, let us introduce ourselves

She worked together with Marco at the same online bookshop. She speaks fluent English and a decent German.
She also studied a little Croatian and is studying Slovene, but she is far from "speaking" any of them.

She is the department's gatecrasher: not an orienteer, not a runner, not an athlete at all.

Despite this, she runs a couple of blogs about orienteering (in Italian) or so, including this one.

Larry runs all Lipica Open stages in W21B class.

He speaks fluent English and some Greek.

He is also a skilled photographer and guitar player.

He's G.U.D.'s newbie as this is his first year in an orienteering team.
He never played this sport before, he just ran a couple of minor competitions in the past months, and now looks enthusiast to upgrade his skills taking his own measure at Lipica Open.
He doesn't even have a compass of his own, but maybe he's about to get a dibber...

G.U.D members in depth

Bilingual italian/slovene draftsman and printing expert.

Italian former worker in a manufacturing company, speaking fluent Slovene.

Father to two, he is a founder of Gaja Orienteering club and a very creative graphic designer.

He is one of the most active members of our club, as he organizes and runs trainings for our young orienteers.
He also is a cyclist and took part to some MTB-O races, too.

Together with his wife Chiara - who also is a graphic designer and runs an activity of her own - he published a recipe book for children, in which they teach how to eat and live healthier keeping on enjoying good dishes. It is Mestolino, cuoco bambino  and is available in slovene language, too ()

Peter runs all Lipica Open stages in M35 class.

Thanks to his experience and passion, he is the guru of the G.U.D.

We think he ran almost every orienteering race taking place within a reasonable distance from Trieste, and he is also an active member of Gaja Orienteering club, too: he deals with trainings, coaching and organization.

He also is an expert of 1st World War facts, with particular attention on the battles of river Isonzo.
He is author and co-author of some essays, both in italian and slovene language.
His latest publication is Pozabljieni Kras (meaning "Forgotten Karst" in slovene, available in Italian, too, split into two volumes: Il Carso dimenticato vol. 1 and Il Carso dimenticato vol. 2), a sort of historical-hiking guide to walk on the 1st WW trails and understand more in depth what has happened there a century ago.
